Submitted by JohnS. Roman amphitheater in Airles, France. Today, it draws large crowds for bullfighting during the Feria d'Arles as well as plays and concerts in summer, but with the fall of the Western Empire in the 5th century, the amphitheatre became a shelter for the population and was transformed into a fortress with four towers more than 200 houses, and two chapels. The residential role continued until the late 18th century. Vincent Van Gogh spent more than fourteen months in Arles, where he created a multitude of paintings and drawings, many of which are nowadays seen as highlights of late 19th century art. This is also where he cut off his ear!

What country are we In?
Where are we?
Victoria Falls Zambia?
Technically, it's Devils Cataract of Victoria Falls from Zimbabwe. Zambia is to the left and across the river.
Are you sure Zambia is to the left and not straight ahead or to the right?
Portolan is correct.
Zimbabwe @ Victoria Falls
2018 Botswana, South Africa & Zambia
Bushtracks: Fri Jun 29th: Guided Tour of the Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Of note, taking advantage of my Gift of Time, I was also there on the night of the full moon for the Moon bow
Bushtracks: Fri Jun 29th: Guided Lunar Rainbow Tour, Zambia
AlanS: in both pictures, the small amount of Zambia you can see is down the canyon on the left. That's what I was referring to. You are correct that Zambia does wrap around to the right, but out of sight.
