An American Aristocrat’s Guide to Great Estates. You can find it on the Smithsonian Channel and it is hosted by an American woman who married into the British Aristocracy. She visits castles all over the UK and learns the problems of owning and the upkeep of these historic estates.
I have a girlfriend I’ve known for over forty years who’s mother inherited such an estate when my friend was 21, it goes back over 1000 years and I have followed its’s challenges since I visited there all those years ago. I was last there about fifteen years ago.
