Is there an opportunity to visit the Melk Abbey when we stop in Dernstein?

    On our Amsterdam/Budapest cruise last September we stopped at Melk for our tour of the Abbey which was outstanding and then sailed on to Durnstein where I foolishly (only kidding) joined a small group to climb up to the ruins of a small castle that once held Richard the Lionheart ransom for a few months. We then had a fabulous wine tasting but the best thing in Durstein are the sozzled apricots. Fruit in Schnapps - they were were to die for.

    Spoke to Tauck yesterday and evidently the time in Durnstein is very limited and there will be no way to visit the Abbey. Very disapointed.
