Theater Questiom
Just got our documents for July 3 trip. Since West End play is scheduled on a Tuesday documents said Back to Future tickets will be substituted with Drifters Girl. We have nine year old grandson with us and that play will not interest him at all. Do we get a choice or a possibility to go on a different night? Has anyone been on this trip and has recommendations for free time, dinners??

This is the show I would take my 8 year old grandson to

This is a great website
Unfortunate there are no performances on a Tuesday, how about the Lion King, tickets from 45 pounds on that day
You could check out, Matilda, Frozen, Jack and the Beanstalk and more.
I suggest booking tickets in advance before you go maybe for another night that nothing is planned or forego the Tauck choice and see one of the other more child friendly shows. Enjoy!
Oh, I’ve never heard of Drifter’s Girl, I’ll check it out we are theatre geeks.
Thanks was thinking of that, most nights but first one in London are on our own. Would think Tauck would chose a more kid friendly show for a family tour. They do offer Back to Future other nights so you would think they could switch us. Agent on phone just said talk to TD but they can’t go switching everyone around.. didn’t really like that response.
Talking to the TD could be too late to snag tickets during the UK children’s holidays.
I read about The Drifter’s Girl, that seems a very niche attraction. Good luck! I guess the phone people are worn out!
I did call back and got a destination specialist, after a couple of weeks they called back and said no choice of plays. They also wouldn’t do another evening though we have two free evenings. I am disappointed in Taucks response since the play is recommended for 10+ and my grandson is 9. I am trying to remain positive and not let this ruin our trip. I will be ordering tickets for our group for Back to the Future on another evening.
