The clothing and packing suggestions mention bringing Teva-style sandals or watershoes. Does anyone know why these are listed and if they are really necessary? Thanks.
I have taken this tour twice and the itinerary has changed little, if at all, through the years. Special sandals/shoes are not needed at all. Perhaps if you intended to participate in water sports during free time at one of the Fairmont properties, water shoes might be beneficial.
If you are doing any sort of rafting, even just a float trip, they recommend these as your feet may get wet.
Yes, Look, you are rafting!
