Rhine still not as low as 2018

  • I heard on the BBC new today that the barges on the Rhine are only loading at 25%. This will be a problem with energy as they are not able to get coal and other needed resources.

While you are looking at the low levels of the rivers in Europe, remember that they are also very low in much of the US. The attached photo is of the Charles River in Natick which is about 20 miles outside of Boston. I have never seen it so low. The river usually flows around both sides of an island which in wet years is frequently under water.
