Rain in the Rhine River Valley?

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but my upcoming trip weather tracker is showing rain at key places along the length of the Rhine River Valley from Basel to Dusseldorf. I'm not sure how much it will affect water levels but it has to be a good thing for the tour and commercial boat traffic that uses the river in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Netherlands. The satellite wx picture shows rain mostly over the south Rhine, but the forecast shows a couple of moisture laden systems coming through in the next two days.
