Don't rely on unofficial word, from websites like the "GrandEgyptianMuseum.org which is a private, not official government, website.
The opening has been delayed numerous times over the past few years- many (unofficial) announcements claiming the GEM will "finally open (2019, 2020, 2021, pick a year ). In 2021 it was early 2022. Last year it was "Late 2022" (November 21 on the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Tut's Tomb), then early 2023, and most recently "late 2023."
They are getting closer, running limited partial openings with locals and tourists to the Great Hall and Glass Hall some exterior area, but NOT the main display hall's and NOT Tut's hall, (" . . . interior spaces of the GEM, including the museum galleries, remain closed until the official opening."), to test procedures like traffic and pedestrian flow, ticketing, security, manning, infrastructure, etc., etc. but I wouldn't hold my breath, however.
It may partially depend on whether they will do a full, soft opening before a "Grand Opening." You'll know about a grand opening, because it will be preceded by a world-wide media blitz. Egypt will not be taking it lightly- it will be a spectacle with head's of state and other international dignitaries invited. Something like that takes time to plan and complete all the arrangements (they have been working on it for years.) But if the Parade of the Pharaohs to the new NMEC) and opening of the Luxor - Karnak processional route are any indications, it will be a true "event" on the scale of the best Busby Berkeley/David O. Selznick/Cecil B. DeMille/Louis B. Mayer extravaganzas.
One tip will be when they close the Tut exhibit at the old museum and have transfer the contents including the centerpiece, the golden burial mask of Tut to the GEM. It may be a separate event or the first scene of the opening extravaganza.
