Patagonia in Feb or March

I'm looking at doing the Patagonia tour in Feb or March. Would appreciate feedback on the weather at this time of year, especially the wind. Is it really that much of an issue?

  • I was there over Xmas (2018) and the weather was as good as can be - virtually no rain and moderate temps. It's always windy there. I suggest you check some of the weather websites that have been mentioned in hundreds of other threads, such as https://weather-and-climate.com/ . It was hot in BA and Santiago, being early summer.

  • I was visiting both Argentina and Chile on our tour of Patagonia this past February. Buenos Aires was extremely warm but Patagonia was mostly pleasant. Weather changed constantly at Torres del Paine from gorgeous to rainy to sunny again. Traveling to Other areas was quite windy at times. All in all was very good.
