  • Are you going on the September 1 trip? We have a small group of 6 people going on that trip. Would love to compare notes.

  • HI Jayne...

Susie and Jim Gorski here from Eagle River Alaska. We are on the September 1 Tanzania Zanzibar trip. We get in on August 31st to Arusha and are staying at Mt. Village Lodge that night. Thought we would trade bears for lions... Travel is a rather circuitous route from AK so will hopefully look forward to the extra day. Where does your group hail from?
  • We are also going on this trip. We are arriving a day early on the 24th from Amsterdam. Looking forward to enjoying the adventure. I was told that 13 people are arriving early. Come say hello.
    Marian and Jeff Posdamer
  • We will be arriving on September 1 -- hopefully in time for the safari. Part of our group will be coming in from Amsterdam ..we are from Baltimore , maryland. It is a long trip from Maryland too!! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Fernando, been on Kenya and Tanzania trip in the past also South Africa, chill out, get your visas and shots and malaria pills as advised by CDC and your own doctor.
Clothing, take old long sleeved t shirts and light weight pants or go crazy and buy travel store things. Brown, khaki, grey best. Avoid red white black blue. A friend on another safari tour saw a guide refuse to take someone out until they changed into a more suitable color shirt. It gets very dusty, the hotel staff will offer you a fresh washcloth for your face when you get back from safari and it will turn brown! Shoes easy slip on and off, you can stand on the seats in the vehicles but not allowed with shoes on. Note on South Africa safaris you will not even be allowed to stand up.
Most people did not even bother to change for dinner, remember you will have been up before dawn and want to relax and not want to be bothering what to wear for dinner.
Duffle bags, ample for everything you will want to carry.
    Food, fantastic
People, some of the kindest you will ever meet
The experience, we cried and did not want to come home! Will be glad to share more with you
