Suitcase Size- What is "average size"?

Could someone from Tauck or a past river cruiser please comment on:

"We ask that you limit your checked luggage to one average size suitcase per person."

Is this considered 26"?

    Anything under 29" is fine for this tour. You may also want to check with your airline in regarding any weight and size limitations.

    Twenty-nine inches is more than enough. We generally travel with 26" at most (or if I'm good, 21" carry-ons).
