Just wondering if sneakers are sufficient for the walking we will do on this tour. Or do we also need a sturdy water proof walking shoe.

I did the Canadian rockies/glacier national park tour and it goes to the same places I believe in the Rockies. I used sneakers, but if you do any hiking on your own you could use better shoes.
