Dubai visa packages

Please explain what a visa package for Dubai is.
We are going there this July, on our own, before our Kenya & Tanzania tour. The embassy website says that US citizens do not need visas.

    The same is true for Australian citizens. I shouldn't jump the gun but I suspect the OP and the next poster are both Spam.

    If you are just going to Dubai then you don't need a visa. According to the Tauck tour that includes Dubai, that's what it says
    other places, Qatar and Oman, visas are required.
    The ' visa' question is obviously a spam email, but I am not going to report it to Tauck because when I have mentioned this to Tauck before they tell me that some of these people are not breaking any of the Tauck forum rules.

    Goodness, I would have thought using a carriage service to promote the sale of illegal or fake documents … or as today's lot quaintly puts it novelty passports … would be against the law somewhere. I suppose the NSA already knows.
