luggage question

We will be leaving this week for our trip. We were wondering if anyone would give us some insight into hard or soft sided luggage? Which would you suggest and why? Thank you so much for your experienced advice.

    It is really your preference. The newest hardsided luggage can be very lightweight which is good with more stringent flight restrictions. Soft sided is less likely to be sprung open while traveling. Good wheels are very important. The best thing to do would be to go to a good luggage store and actually look at the different pieces, how much they weigh, how easy they are to handle, how the inside compartments are set up. Personally, I like a high quality (they repair it for life free!)lightweight 25 or 26 in suitcase without interior dividers. I use packing cubes to keep things organized.
