Flights?
I have been researching flights even though we don't go until next year. I was wondering if anyone else has taken the same routing as I am considering.
We usually fly Delta and I expect to have enough miles for freebies. We can fly Delta local to Atlanta, then non-stop to Lima for the start of our trip. The problem is on the return- Delta does not fly out of Guayaquil (GYE).
I am considering taking a short 1 hr flight on one of the local carriers (Avianca, Lan, Tame) from Guayaquil (GYE) to Quito (UIO) then flying Delta home from there via Atlanta (I like Atlanta better than Miami, also).
Has anyone done anything similar? Did you have any issues with the local carriers or with Quito airport?
