What’s New in Italy for 2016

There is good news (e.g. Trevi fountain renovations are complete, the completely revamped Florence Duomo museum has reopened, etc.) and not so good news (security will be tighter and may cause delays, while open, Florence's Uffizi Gallery is still undergoing a massive, years-long renovation, etc.).
All that aside, I can't wait- 79 day, 12 hours, 41 min. : ~ )
