Disembarking in Amsterdam

Website says passengers off by 9:00. Does anyone know if the ship is docked before that? We need to make an 11:00 flight, we don't mind getting our own transportation but we just need to disembark earlier than 9:00.

  • This is an issue you should deal directly with Tauck or your travel agent. If you have received your "Journey Documents" you can determine your day before schedule. Take care and have a great trip.
  • To answer fully I'd need to know which cruise you are on. There are several cruises that end in Amsterdam with different itineraries. Most seem to include a day in Amsterdam which means the ship will already be there docked.

In general however, the "all passengers off time" is the latest you can stay on board not the earliest you can leave. The crew needs time to clean and prep for the next batch of passengers that afternoon. I would expect your ship to be docked at the final stop with plenty of time to make earlier ship departures.

The Cruise Directors are very good at arranging transport whenever needed. They will ask you on your first day aboard to confirm your flight times, location. Our first cruise ending in Lyon there were more than a dozen different departure groups - different times, some going by air, some by train, etc etc. They have a great system for this.
