Malaria and Typhoid

I will be meeting with a travel doctor, but I am curious to know what vaccines anyone has taken for this trip. I know that malaria medication is necessary. What about typhoid vaccination?

The CDC recommends protection from typhoid. There is an injection or an oral vaccine. Talk to your doctor about your medical history and decide which is suitable for you. It does not matter what other people have done or taken for this tour, you have to think about your health and choices in consultation with a travel health specialist.
I look forward to my upcoming tour.

We did this trip two years ago. You will love it. My wife wants to go back!

We consulted with our doctor and took medication to protect against typhoid and malaria. We also took along some Cipro.

We already had prevention against Yellow Fever (I don't think you need it that far south but we took our card anyway.) and Hep A that we took for our South America trip. Another great Tauck trip to take.

But as British notes, your doctor knows you and will provide the proper advice.

One note - Bring a wide brim hat with a tie down cord. Hats tend to fly off when moving in an open jeep.

British! I remember you from your replies on the India forum. I now see you're discussing this tour. Have you been on it yet?
