Christmas Market/Rhine River/Kembs Loch Maintenance

We are scheduled to depart on the Dec. 4 southbound river boat Christmas Market trip. I've read there is maintenance being down on the Kembs Loch. Will that impact the itinerary?

I've been hearing reports from various cruise lines that we should be largely unaffected by the renovations on the lock. There are actually two locks at Kembs, so traffic is being diverted through the one. Some people who just got back from a Rhine cruise (albeit a different cruise line) said they had only a minor delay.
I'm a bit more concerned about today's news regarding the terrorists who were caught in Strasbourg.

Having spent the past 30+ years working in healthcare, specializing in cancer care, I've taken the perspective that nothing in life is certain, not tomorrow, next year, etc. This cruise is something my husband and I have been looking forward to for some time.........So, off we will go! Hope to see y'all there!
