I am arriving a day early in Santiago ,any suggestion for restaurants and things to do in that one day. What can I expect weather/temp wise for the December 19. 2016 trip ?

    There is a company called Santiago Adventures. We booked them online. We went to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. It was a beautiful day and the company was excellent.

    We also went to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. I emailed the concierge of the Ritz Carlton in Santiago and he made the arrangements for a private car and guide. We were with some friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day and our guide was excellent. We wanted to be on our own schedule -- especially because the welcome dinner was that night.
