Yellowstone in winter

In a few days we will be leaving on this trip; I have wanted to do this for several years and now it is a dream come true. I have read everything but no where does it state where or when you rent the snowshoes?? We do have our own but dragging them around seems unproductive; especially on a plane. Can anyone answer this for us?

  • We took this trip last January and loved it. There is a mostly free day at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge with a guided snowshoe tour in the afternoon. The Lodge has a ski and snowshoe shop where you can rent cross country skis and snowshoes. Snowshoes were included at no charge for the afternoon guided tour.

This is a great trip. Yellowstone is very different in winter. Just bundle up, keep warm and have a fantastic time.
