Our trip “Budapest to the Black Sea” in June and July of 2024 consisted of some land portion as well as the river cruise abord the MS Treasures. Here is a review of our accommodations.

The Ritz-Carlton Budapest
It’s pretty hard to get a bad stay at a Ritz-Carlton. This hotel was nice with well appointed rooms. We had a nice view from our room overlooking Elizabeth Square. One of the better breakfast buffets including fresh squeezed orange juice.

MS Treasures
This was our home for days 3 through 9 of our trip. We opted for a category 7 cabin which is the largest on the ship. Here are a few pictures of our cabin as well as a few pictures from around the ship.

JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel
This is a very nice hotel and we had a corner room with a view of Catedrala Mantuirii Neamului (National Cathedral). Unfortunately, the area was under renovation at the time.
This hotel is not in the center of the city and is not within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. The hotel has 4 restaurants but unfortunately 2 of them were closed during our stay. Dinners were on our own with Tauck footing the bill for one dinner. Here are a few pictures.
