Does anyone know if you can tip the guides and drivers with Venmo?

No you can’t. It cannot be used outside of the US.

    Thanks.
Sorry I meant to say in the US.
Can you tip the drivers and guides via Venmo?

You can ask them, but be prepared with cash just incase.

Please see the long tipping thread over the last couple of months

Below was a recent comment from Ken in Vegas June 11.

This subject was discussed with the Tauck CEO on the 1925 Circle zoom meeting this morning. Here's my takeaway:
They definitely are aware of the concerns about tipping and looking for solutions.
They want to stick to the tipping model where practical (i.e. land tours).
There is no app available that would allow tipping internationally (they've looked).
They are going to try a pilot program of electronic tipping on tours in the US.

While many would agree that carrying and tipping in cash is inconvenient, you have no assurance that your Tauck Director
uses Venmo and if you don't have cash as outlined in your documents their compensation is significantly adversely affected.

I tipped with Zelle in New Zealand.

On my recent England and West Country trip the TD said Venmo could be used for her but not the bus driver.

Does the TD start the discussion about tipping? I thought they were not supposed to discuss tips.

It was in some printed information she provided in the packets she gave us.

Wow! Was the TD American or a resident of the Uk. Wondering if it was Rachel?

Not Rachel - Michelle. She is an American who resides in the UK now as I understand it. She was great - enthusiastic, knowledgeable, helpful…

Ben, when you receive the tour documents it tells you the current recommendations, whether it includes a tip for the Bus driver or not and so on. Over the years it has crept up from $8 to $15. Some tours, all tips are included. Tipping in dollars is the gold standard for any tour wherever it is, that is what Tauck says. Check documents for your upcoming tours, it may be even more than that now. If you want to tip in local currency you can, but it is your choice. Many tour directors do not live in the country they are working in.
    Everyone, read your tour documents.

We haven't done a land tour in a couple of years and was wondering how much they have increased. Two land tours ago, the tour guide actually covered the bus driver tips.

Ben - On our trip they recommended $15 USD or local currency equivalent for the TD and $10 USD or equivalent for the bus driver. They said either USD or local currency for TD but requested local currency for the bus driver. We had the TD for all 11 days but the bus driver for only 7 of the days.
