Hotels other than 4 Seasons
Hello everyone! We are very much looking forward to this trip starting on September 12th of this year. I know the reputation of the Four Seasons properties (obviously fantastic) but I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips regarding the other properties on this trip: Grand Canyon, Lake Powell and Zion. Not the places of course, but rather the hotel rooms. Thanks so much!

If your are in the Park lodges, lower your expectations and remember those are the only properties in the parks
We did this trip in 2022 and loved it. The park lodges are fine, but certainly not luxurious. For us, the location more than made up for the hotel rooms not being five star. To wake up in the morning and see views of the Grand Canyon at sunrise - within walking distance - was absolutely incredible. We had visited national parks years ago with our kids, but felt much more "part" of the parks on this trip.
I agree with cvc, being within walking distance to see the sunrise over the Grand Canyon beats a luxury room.
You can’t compare an expensive hotel to a majestic breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon. I would take the view.
Hello everyone and thank you for responding. Please don’t misunderstand- I completely agree that the room at somewhere like the Grand Canyon is irrelevant compared to the view. We were there a few years back, stayed in the park and the first time I saw the Grand Canyon, I actually needed to sit down. It took my breath away. So please, I promise I wasn’t comparing the value of the rooms vs the experience. What I was curious about were simple things about the rooms like if there was a coffee maker, mini fridge or even a quieter location. That’s all, just some overall experiences.
