Star legend

How many tours are on the star legend trip attend to Istanbul

Comments

  • Not exactly sure what you are asking but we will be on the Star Legend in September, the tour from Athens to Istanbul.

  • I’m wondering about what the original language might be? Star Legend is a very nice ship, all suites, it was most recently the Seaborne Legend. Wind Star bought it, cut it in half, added eighty feet, and replaced just about everything in the 2021-2022 time frame. We were among the first to cruise on the Star Breeze after it received the same treatment. In spite of it’s ‘years’ it was basically a new boat. We have two Windstar cruises scheduled in the next six months … one on Wind Surf and one on the new Star Seeker. The ‘Surf’ is sold out and the Star Seeker nearly so. We have met many people on the Windstar boats who also travel with Tauck.

What type suite did you book, if I might ask. They are all nice. We had a smaller suite booked on our last Star ship cruise, but we ended up in suite 500. They tried to give us an upgrade to the owner’s suite, but my wife sleep walks and it was just too much space to control so much to their surprise we turned it down and went back to our smaller suite. Then they offered 500, and that was more ‘controllable’, so we gratefully accepted it. By the way, the forward suites on the star ships are not for people who get seasick. It’s a small ship, the in rough seas the forward suites really move.

  • Balcony suite deck #5 midship. We wanted the owners suite but gone and we booked really early. On a waiting list for that.

Folsomdoc: I would waitlist for 500 and 501 as well. Really nice rooms if you are not sensitive to motion. They have a virtually private hot tub on the bow that few people even know about. P.S. 600 and 601 are the forward owner’s suites, and they are significantly larger than 500 and 501, but they are not on the same deck as the hot tub.

  • In April, we took this tour, Istanbul to Athens, and really enjoyed it. We were pleased with our Star Balcony cabin, mid-ship, Deck 5.

  • I’m pretty sure the room descriptions that start with “Star” are in the new eighty foot section that was inserted in the middle of the ship. The other rooms were renovated but they are not “new”.
