Can someone tell me if the hotels we will be visiting have polarized outlets that will accept plugs where one blade is wider than the other? If not, will most hotels have adapters you can borrow?

You should always plan to have your own adapters with you. You can't be sure others will provide them for you.
You can get a three prong to two prong adapter which should work for you.

Note that you can plug a two pin adapter that has one pin larger than the other, but the two pin side has two pins of the same size.]
Yes, always bring your own, they just cost a few dollars.
