Are coffee makers in all rooms or just upper level suites.

You can go to Tauck’s website and search for your specific tour to see a listing of all amenities by cabin type. I know the 300 sq. ft. cabins are equipped with a coffee maker, but I do not know about other cabins.

I much prefer the machine in Arthur’s for its multiple offerings—latte, hot chocolate, et al.

  • Coffee makers are not mentioned for any rooms on their website, but I know CAT 3 thru 7 have them. That being said, we also use the coffee machine in Arthur’s. We had the room right next to Arthur’s on our last trip, and although being a balcony it is ‘small’ … 150 square feet with very little storage. I suggested that they remove the coffee maker and put in some drawers.

  • We were in a category 6 cabin on the second floor of the Grace in June, and had a Nespresso in the room.

  • Sealord- The cabin amenities are shown if you open the ship’s sketch then click on the cabin category. Every river cruise on Tauck’s website has this information. You just need to scroll until you reach the schematic of the ship. There is a wealth of information about each cabin type.

  • Yes, I believe they are in all cabins now. We've been in Cat 6 a several different ships and had one. I was in a Cat 1 on the Joy back in 2023 and had one.

They first started putting Nespresso machines in cabins back in 2015(?) when the Inspire line of longer ships came into service. At that time it was just in the larger cabins but over time I believe Scylla has added them to all cabins. Here's a video of the MS Joy by Sarah McClure (a travel agent) from a year ago that shows the cabins Categories 1, 3, 6, and 7.

For some reason the Tauck website descriptions on cabin amenities do not include the coffee makers in all descriptions. Not exactly sure why this is. We've used the machine a few times, but I actually prefer the coffee from the machine in Arthur's since I like cappuccinos. It's one of those touch screen machines with different coffee choices (the video shows a picture of it). They usually have to-go cups there.

  • Great Link Claudia. I should not have gotten to the following video which had another very annoying travel advisor interviewing the wonderful Tauck Nick Coward who we have had on two Ponant cruises, he is such a gentleman.
