I am very excited!
I am not on that trip, but I did two trips solo on Tauck this year. Egypt, I was one of two solos, but the other one kept to himself. Spirit of the desert, I was the only solo. Both were great. Everyone was incredibly inclusive. To break the ice, offer to take pictures of the couples when they are doing selfies with a view.
I love traveling solo; without my husband there is no one to say “No”! 🤣
I travel with my husband and, at times and infrequently, we go on separate excursions when we feel we can’t be flexible, and then we share stories about our day. Why should I go to a car museum or ordering beer at a pub when I can go to a pearl factory or explore perfumes? Somewhere else. It’s not rocket science. It has definitely surprised others that we do that.
I’ve found that when I’m not attached to his hip, I’m very approachable.
I agree with you OurTravels. I even prefer when we're traveling with a group to do different excursions. It sure makes the discussions that night more interesting.
