UK GOVT eTA
Just got the eTA’s for the UK. Relatively easy … except for the picture of the passport. I took pictures of my passport more than twenty times before it accepted one. Then I did my wife’s and it took the first one. Same technique different result. Her’s was the new passport, and that may have been the difference. Once completed, you get the visa very quickly.

I did the application for myself and my wife. No problems - got the result quickly.
I did the application for my trip to Ireland and they never asked for my passport in Northern Ireland.
Sealord I had the same trouble with the picture when I did it with my phone, however I ended up doing it on line and it was accepted.
Gladys, did you pass through England on the way to Northern Ireland? If you did, you would not need to show your passport because you are traveling in the same area. If you flew from the US, was it some sort of facial recognition?
