Eastbound or Westbound
My husband and I are looking at this trip in 2027 and haven't decided whether to start in Glasgow or Edinburgh. We'll be arriving a day early and need help deciding where to spend the extra time.

There is much more to do in Edinburgh............................
There is much todo in Glasgow, we lived there many years ago
Having just been to both cities in July, I'd choose Edinburgh for an extra day.
Thanks for the input.
You are most welcome! I really enjoyed 'The Real Mary King's Close' - exploring the living conditions in Edinburgh's Old Town in the 17th century.
Both cities have interesting sights but there are certainly more in Edinburgh. One extra day isn't enough though. We had that before the England Scotland Wales tour. Ended up a few years later doing the week in Scotland tour and adding 2 extra nights. Still didn't see it all.
I suggest that you stay extra days in both places. There's lots to see and do in each city.
MCD-sounds great but we won’t have time this trip. Guess we’ll just have to come back!
Sounds like a good plan! And did you know there's a high speed train from Edinburgh to London? I took it a few years ago.
