I’ve been to Namibia twice but not with Tauck. It’s the least populated country compared to its size. It has fantastic rugged scenery and lots of desert including amazing sand dunes and petrified trees. A long rugged and sandy coastline. We love it there. You will not see the vast numbers of animals that you see in East Africa or Botswana and South Africa, but they have the rare desert elephants and oryx which I love. It used to be a German colony and there is a shocking history of concentration camps, in fact, it is thought that is where Hitler got his idea for them in the Second World War. There is museum in Windhoek that covers this time which is important to visit.
Tauck stays at luxury resorts. The tour is quite short in my opinion. I would not choose it as my first visit to the African sub Saharan part of the continent. You could combine this tour with another one like Elegant South Africa or one of the tours that goes to Botswana.
