Checking about curling iron use on board?

Greetings,
I've noticed that curling iron use was discourage in the past; doe anyone know if the ships can accommodate their use now?
We will be on the June 2026 Rhine & Moselle trip and look forward to connect with anyone joining us!

  • Yes, you are able to use one. However, I strongly recommend you buy one in Europe with a European plug. If not, make sure you bring an adapter and have it checked out with the customer relations on board.

  • If it is not dual voltage then you have two options: First use it in the US plug however there is no US outlet in the bathroom. Second option is to use a convertor not an adapter. These are very different things. The use is still discourage because of the fire hazard.

  • Maybe check that a US plug is definitely just 120

I have my final cruise documents in my hand for our trip on the Sapphire. Scylla prohibits the use of all electric hair devices onboard. Hair dryers are provided and they are 220.
