Day Trip from Prague to Oswiecim to visit Auschwitz
Has anyone taken a day trip from Prague to Auschwitz? I do know it's a long day, about 5 hours there and 5 hours back. My wife and I are considering it. We are not able to spend the night. Have to return to Prague to begin our Danube River trip. Please share your experience if you have made this a day trip. Thank you in advance for any info.

Wow, that’s a long day. The trip was included on the Warsaw, Vienna, Budapest and Prague land tour. It’s a very very moving experience which takes some getting over.
An Auschwitz visit was also included on the Berlin, Danube, and Krakow tour.
Our tour does not include Auschwitz. It's an after thought.
That is a really long day. If you are looking for a different option, tours to Terezin are easy to do. Look at Prague Walkers, or Pavel Batel.
I agree with Ben. From Prague, go to Terezin. Pay respects at Auschwitz on a different tour. (I did it on the "Royal Danube, Berlin to Krakow" tour that Smiling Sam referenced, but I don't know whether that tour is still offered. It was one of my favorites.)
