Santa Cruz ll
Has anybody sailed on this ship before? Our family is going next July.
A very common question, do people dress up a little for the evening dinners on the ship, or do most just put on clean adventure clothing, as I call it, or just go straight to dinner as they are? The photos of that ship show glamorous people dressed up! I’m trying to avoid my tribe bringing unnecessary clothing. I have been to Galapagos twice before but on the Isabela ll and that is very casual..

Another question related to the ship, Santa Cruz II for the Bridges Galpagos: Wildlife Wonderland
Are there any special activities onboard the ship for kids?
We'll be on the July 7th trip with 3 generations. I understand that we just wear "adventure clothes" as you put it. No dressing up. I'm worried about drinking the water and ice on the ship. I'm hoping it's safe. Any input would be appreciated.
Santa Cruise II was launched in 2002. You should ask, but it's likely that all of the fresh water on the ship is from reverse osmosis, meaning that it's very pure.
It's a lot safer for a cruise ship to make their own fresh water - there's no risk that they get contaminated water from the port.
