The Four Seasons Sayan offers an optional sunrise climb of Mt. Batur. Has anyone attempted this climb? How difficult was it?

    I completed the climb of Mt. Batur. Instead of climbing in the dark to reach the top before sunrise, our TD suggested I start the climb at 7am. I’m really glad she did. In addition to a full nights sleep, my guide and I had the volcano rim basically to ourselves. No mass of tourists slowing everyone down or crowding the rim. It’s definitely doable for those in somewhat decent shape.
