My wife and I are interested in rooms 228 or 229 on the Ruby Deck, but are concerned about sleeping so close to the ship's engines. Should this be a concern?
Someone answered this before (sorry I can't find the post) and said they didn't have a problem with the noise. In general, the staterooms are very well sound proofed. Of course, everyone has a different definition of what is annoying so it kind of depends on how sensitive you are to sound or vibration.
The other thing to consider is that, except for the bistro, you will be the further-est from everything else on the ship. The main dining room, the lounge, the lobby where you come and go from daily touring, etc. If you want the extra exercise to work off all the good food and drink on the tour, great! If no, you might consider something a little closer.
