Does anyone know if we go in the Eiffel Tower while in Paris?

    Depends on what you mean by "go". This trip is similar to the French Waterways tour which we've done. You will most likely be taken somewhere you can see it for photo op but not to actually go up to or in it. You could do it on your own during your free afternoon or morning before the train ride. Go to the website for the tower which has alot of useful information including various ticket prices and the ability to buy your tickets online.

    You can always climb it:

    674 or 704 steps (depending on source) to the second of 3 floors
    Then switch to the elevator to the top (3rd floor) You can only get to the top via elevator.

    We, who will never see our mid-60's again, trained a bit before leaving home and climbed Brunelleschi's dome (463 steps) in the Duomo in Florence and the Leaning Tower of Pisa (297 steps) during our recent Classic Italy- neither were difficult.
