We are on the trip that starts Feb 9. Big heatwave...any advice on dinner attire?

    Dinners are not dressy. Hotels and restaurants are air-conditioned. Don't worry about it -- just enjoy! It is a fantastic trip.

    We're on the 9th from Melbourne too. What about jacket for men for dinner as suggested in green book?

    It’s likely to still be 40 degrees Celsius, you won’t need a jacket. It’s verycasual in Australia, my husband didn’t need one in the winter and didn’t take one anyway.
