New GEM video
Various news outlets (one below) are showing a slick new CNN produced promotional video about the Grand Egyptian Museum. One speaker claims the GEM is 96.5% done, but there is still no firm opening date.

Well, it certainly whets our appetite for the Jordan and Egypt tour to happen since we are signed up for next year (April) and on standby for October (since April is feeling less and less certain). We won't take the trip until there is a well-proven vaccine available to us. But we will be there someday!
We are booked for Jan and were on the waitlist for Mar and Oct. Oct became available, but I turned it down. c'est la vie
I’m much less confident my December 2020 trip will take place. Now hoping there is availability for December 2021–hopefully the GEM will be up & running by then...Inshallah.
My husband and I are booked on the October 24th, 2021 Egypt and Jordan tour. Is that the one you are looking at? Been booked for a long time!
