I make special envelopes for the tip- a blank line for the TD's name, unless we know ahead of time like we did with Seth, then I print photos from the web on it of places or things we are expected to see, meerkats, elephants, blue-footed booby, Neuschwanstein, etc. It doesn't look nearly as fancy as the side of a Tauck bus. Next time I'll try to do that though I have forgotten everything I know about Photoshop!
Claudia and Alan, those are great ideas. I've always just jotted down a little note to accompany the tips, but I can see how making it more personal would show even greater appreciation for the hard work the bus driver and tour director do to make our experiences seamless and enjoyable.
