Vietnam and Holiday Avoidance

We are in the process of booking this tour for 2024. We are considering the months of January, February, and March. I've read a lot of posts that say to avoid Tet because of the crowds and store closings. If anyone has been on this Tour during Tet, does Tauck deal with this effectively, or do you miss out? There are parts of me that think it would be great to see the lanterns and festivities.....

    We did this tour at the end of January. I believe it was just prior to the actual holidays but everywhere was getting the decorations out. All of the cities were very beautiful with their decorations. Here are a couple of pictures

    Tet starts on February 10 in 2024, and we booked the tour that ends on February 8th. So we should be able to see the decorations but miss the actual celebration.

    I kind of wish we had booked the next tour so we could be there for Tet.
