We are from Duluth, MN and will also arrive a day early. Have done other travel groups but never Tauck. Also looking forward to meeting everyone.

  • Hi James & Barbara,

We've only traveled with Tauck and have never been disappointed. We look forward to meeting you.

  • Jan, Tauck advises "casual elegant wear" for women for evenings. Can you provide more specifics? Thanks
  • "casual elegant wear" ---- possibly the most confusing description in the world of dress codes.

Based on 2 Tauck river cruises with the same guidance:

For men - At a minimum a pair of dress slacks, long sleeve dress shirt, and leather loafers
At the maximum, the above plus a sport coat and tie. In between you can substitute a cardigan/pullover sweater for a jacket.
    No need for a suit.

For women - At the minimum, a skirt or dress slacks with a nice top and suitable shoes (not sneakers or flip flops). At the maximum, a dressy dress, hose, heels, bling, the works. Lots of options in between. You on't need a long evening gown. Do bring an evening wrap or sweater just for warmth.

There will be a variety within your group. The main thing is not to worry about repeating outfits. No one cares. They're too busy having a great time.
  • Barbara,
Claudia's answer was very good and accurate. In the last Tauck tour we took to France, I brought and wore a longer length skirt and a nice blouse, with dressy flats (no heels) and have also worn dressy pants with a blouse and jacket. I rarely wear dresses anymore but may bring one for the theatre night in London, with hose and again flat dressy shoes. All of us on Tauck tours re-wear many outfits, rotating tops with various pants. We brought small packages of Woolite to rinse out underwear and a small bottle of Febreeze to spray on pants/jeans that were difficult to wash and get dry in time for the move to the next hotel. Looking forward to meeting you!

  • There is no need to dress up for the theatre in London, it's the same as New York, jeans will do.
