Where are all the sub-forums?

I'm trying to locate the Amsterdam to Budapest forum and can't find it anywhere. Our riverboat cruise is coming up and I was hoping to check the forum for the most current info and posts.

Thanks to anyone who can help...

Tauck IT has been having troubles lately. The sub-forums were gone (actually the forum index was gone*) for a few days, were back yesterday, and now evidently gone again. *The actual forums are still there and still contain all the archived posts.

It is a roundabout way and a bit of a pain, but if you do a search for a topic you are pretty sure is in that forum, then you can copy the forum URL and go there*. A new post will show up in the forum and the "Active Discussions" page but once it ages out from Active Discussions you'll need to do a search to find it again, unless the problem is fixed.

    *or try this URL https://www.tauck.com/yaf/default.aspx?g=topics&f=42

oops, wrong direction. Here is the URL for the Amsterdam to Budapest forum: https://www.tauck.com/yaf/default.aspx?g=topics&f=43
  • Hi, three4rd -
The TAUCK forum web pages are often "broken" as the forums for specific trips seem to vanish at random. You may be able to find them by going to the web page for the tour, and then checking the travel forum comments from that page (lower right).

    The direct link might be:
    http://www.tauck.com/tours/europe-tours/central-and-eastern-europe-tours/rhine-cruise-ras-2017.aspx

    Good Luck!

Redwood's method works also! To see all posts in the A-B forum- after clicking on a topic on the tour page, put your cursor on the "Amsterdam to Budapest" portion of the long address that starts with "Travel Forums Home." It is near the top of the page right below where it says "logged on as . . ." and click it. Did I say it was a pain.
  • Gone again!

For everything Tauck does well on their trips, it's surprising they can't find competent IT people for their painfully S L O W web site and these often-broken forums.

    Hello BKMD,

I apologize that this keeps occurring, we are having IT look into this issue. We have a project in the works to update the Travel Forums and we will be reaching out to all of our forum users for feedback and recommendations.

In the meantime, if you have other technical issues, please feel free to email me at esupport@tauck.com

    Best,
    Emily
  • Thank you for the update, Emily.

In case you haven't noticed, the regional forums are back, but now the general forums are gone.
  • Oh dear, Emily, the regional forums are gone again.

  • This issue with the disappearing and reappearing forums is indeed annoying. I am a fairly frequent user of cruisecritic and never seem to run into the issues that I do here. I know there is a roundabout way to get to the unlisted forums, but it's just a hassle. Hopefully Tauck can figure out what the problem is.
  • The subforums think they are French air traffic controllers. They are on strike.

It's the Russians! I sent an email to Tauck IT.
  • The Tauck website could use a major upgrade. It is painfully slow to load and the issues with the sub-forums keep coming and going. Those of us who have traveled with Tauck and appreciate the wonderful experiences can tolerate this briefly, but what will first time users think? Get it fixed, please!

    Exactly!

If I was considering Tauck for the first time, I would move on, thinking how could this company run a good trip if they can't run a functional web site. Fortunately, having done several trips, I know better, but they really need to get their IT dept in order.
