I have read on this forum that flies are a problem at Uluru. Is it worth getting one of those nets that covers your face or is that overkill?

    Tauck provide the nets. But it depends when you go, we went in the Australian winter when temperatures were very comfortable there and there were no flies. I think the winter is the best time to go to Australia.

    We were there in December also and spent Christmas Eve at a champagne BBQ watching the sunset at Uluru and came back to watch the sun rise there Christmas Day.
    No flies!
