Prague's Astronomical Clock

Good news for folks taking the Blue Danube cruise and other tours that visit Prague. The world famous 600 year old medieval astronomical clock which had been covered for almost a year with a virtual one (an LED screen projection) while being renovated along with the bell tower, is now on full display again!

Additionally, scaffolding and tarps that surrounded the city hall and bell tower have been removed. The bell tower has been strengthened for tourist safety and an old chapel and altar have been restored. Prague was such a great city to visit. I wish we could have viewed the clock when we visited last spring.

  • Thanks, Alan. I had been disappointed to see that it was under repair, so I'm glad to hear it should be working again during our visit next spring.
