Rains and flooding

Rising water levels in Kenya's Great Rift Valley threaten jobs and wildlife https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-53776774

It appears that KENYA is having unusual amounts of rain for much longer than is ‘normal’. This was happening when we were there in Dec/January, the rains should have abated, but we still had heavy rain and flooded roads. There was less wildlife to see although we got some unique photos such as elephants frolicking in the rainfall, slipping and sliding in the mud. A family of mom with six baby cheetahs, so unusual, looked very bedraggled and those photos, although unique, I do wish it had not been raining then.
Maybe this year would not have been a good time to visit Kenya after all.
