Flights - Any Suggestions?
We're booked on the October Israel-Jordan and yes, it is WAY too early to think about flights but it doesn't hurt to ask and plan ahead. Plus we're absolutely bored without traveling with our fellow Tauck travelers. So we're thinking El Al direct and non-stop from LAX to TLV and then on the return leg, Royal Jordanian to TLV and then home via El Al.
We're done Tauck trips in the past and I know they can "book" our flights but I've found it's better, at least to me, to make our own arrangements.
I hope everyone is safe and welcoming the new year with new adventures to come!! Thanks in advance.

Be aware that El Al doesn't fly every day from every airport.
Time-wise, it is not too early. Most airlines start accepting bookings 330 days prior to your return flight. As to a discussion of flight availability and potential for more flights later in the year when (and if) COVID is under control and some airline options, check out this recent forum thread: https://forums.tauck.com/discussion/14567/will-they-add-international-flights-as-time-goes-by#latest
Speaking of Covid, Israel is leading the world in the %age of its population vaccinated, currently at 12% vs.1% for the US. An advantage of being a small country. Lots of interesting statistics, frequently updated, in this article: https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-vaccine-tracker-global-distribution/
Thanks Alan, I do remember your prior advice about booking flights 330 days prior. Thanks for the link as well.
