Recommendations for when to take the Switzerland:Europe's Crown Jewel Trip

I am trying to decide on when to go on this tour. Is it too hot in July? Is mid to late or late August/early September better? Thanks for your opinions.

    I wouldn't go in July or Aug but primarily because it's peak tourist season. We went at the start of Sep and had excellent weather. A bit of a range from warm in Lugano/Italy to walking on snow on Jungfrau Joch. Lugano in Jul/Aug might have been too hot for me. Mostly we had really lovely weather.

    I vote for late September. The kids should be back in school by then.

    I totally agree with Claudia Sails and OurTravels34. We are going in September this year. We definitely stay away from August when going to Europe. We are retired and have the luxury of choosing when we want to travel.

    We went the 2nd week in September, weather was great and not too crowded.
