It seems the implementation date for this new requirement keeps slipping. The idea was introduced in 2016, finally approved by the European Parliament on July 5th, 2018, and has been under development ever since. Originally due for release in 2021, then 2022, then late 2022-early 2023 and now "Although the exact launch date is not yet known, ETIAS should be operational in November 2023." (Is that "should" a definite maybe?) There could be a 6 month grace period but that has not been confirmed. I wouldn't be concerned about it until you hear more later this year. How about an office pool? Which will happen first, the ETIAS implementation or GEM opening?
Also, "The ETIAS will cost 7 € for applicants over 18, and will be free for applicants under the age of 18 and over the age of 70.

Alan - Sounds like the same management as the GEM.
