With the closure of mammoth hot springs and changing to the Super 8 for a night, anyone on the Yellowstone winter trip in the last few weeks have any info on the changes to the schedule and events? The posted itinerary has not been updated. We are on the tour starting feb 9.

    Hi Bonedoc. We just returned from the Jan 25 - Feb 1 trip. The Mammoth hotel closure had us staying an extra night at Chico Hot Springs, and then an extra night at the Snow Lodge at OF. Returning to Chico for night 2 put us on the coach a bit more, but it wasn't an issue... more time to see the snowy scenery and animals outside the park. Tauck did juggle the itinerary a little but did not eliminate any activities. The weather is really the bigger factor as it can impact travel times between places, particularly for the snow coaches! As well as the icy conditions of boardwalks. Our Tauck director did a fabulous job. We loved the trip!

    What a shame. The June floods damaged the area's wastewater system but not the hotel, itself. Just a few years ago (2019) Mammoth re-opened after a complete renovation. It was nice when we were there in Feb 2020.
